Bus Impacts
Bus Stop Changes
  • Most bus stops will be along Central Avenue next to the Highland Street Garage near Lot 36
  • Changes will be in effect through the end of the fall semester during Union Circle’s construction
  • The Discovery Park bus and NT 121 stops will be located close to Hickory Hall
Available Bus Routes
  • A new UNT route bus stop will be located on the west side of Lot 20 providing transit from Lot 20 to the main part of campus via the AC 101 route, which will drop riders at the Highland Street Garage
  • DCTA’s transit app is free for Denton area buses. Use it to see all UNT bus locations in real time and to plan your trip if you’re unfamiliar with DCTA’s bus system
  • See the full list of all DCTA buses for the fall semester
Highland Street
  • Closed to vehicle traffic for the duration of Union Circle’s construction to prioritize the safety of pedestrians who cross Highland Street in that area
  • Cyclists must use the bicycle lane
  • Lot 24 will remain accessible via the entry on Maple Street
  • Lot 25 will remain accessible via the entry on Avenue C, but when exiting Lot 25 onto Avenue C, do not make a U-turn at the intersection of Avenue C and Highland Street for the safety of pedestrians using the crosswalk

Note:  the City of Denton owns all roads in and around campus. We alert our City partners to make them aware of UNT activities, but their work must sometimes proceed during our busy times. Please stay informed and have patience. All of this work will create smooth, new roads for our campus. Read more details about ongoing construction on the City of Denton's website.
