Facilities is comprised of the following departments: Planning, Design, and Construction, Maintenance, and Support & Services.

Facilities is a service organization responsible for the planning, renovation, maintenance, and repair of university buildings and facilities; and the provision of utilities, vehicle rental, refuse collection, custodial and other services essential to the mission of the University of North Texas.

We strive to provide world-class support for the University by ensuring safe, reliable, efficient facility and utility services delivered with outstanding customer services and effective stewardship of resources and the environment.

There are over 176 facilities and over 900 acres of land that encompass the properties the University. The department has close to 350 employees who are responsible for most of the services that are provided for the maintenance and daily operation of these facilities and for the more than 39,000 students who attend UNT.
